The Parramatta Eels have conducted a full investigation into an incident that took place on Saturday the 15th of December involving a player from our club.
As a result of that investigation, Shawn Anderson from our NYC squad has had his contract terminated.
ARLC Chairman John Grant and the NRL’s strategic plan have made it clear, that players need to accept their position as role models and the responsibility and accountability that go with it.
CEO Ken Edwards said, "I make no apology for the club’s firm policy on player behaviour.
“When a player signs with Parramatta, they acknowledge the high standards of behaviour expected. Our players need to be committed to the club, their teammates, our members and supporters.
As a club we will continue to strive for excellence and foster a culture of respect, inclusiveness and teamwork.” He added.
