“The Old Boys’” video announcement can be viewed by clicking the 'PLAY' icon above, and kicks off a huge week of activity that will culminate in a game-wide celebration at ANZ Stadium on Sunday evening.
Strong ticket sales indicate a bumper crowd will be on hand to farewell Hindmarsh, Burt, their Dragons counterparts Dean Young and Ben Hornby.
The Eels will also celebrate Casey McGuire’s 150th NRL game milestone, with the 32-year-old making his return from a shoulder injury suffered in Round 12. In a blow for the Eels, rampaging prop Fuifui Moimoi has been ruled out of the clash with a fractured forearm suffered in last week’s match.
Eels fans will get their chance to farewell their heroes a day early at Parramatta Stadium when the team holds an open training session at 9am on Saturday 1 September.

Jumping castles, face-painting and a sausage sizzle will be available at the event, and media are invited to attend for multiple vision opportunities with Eels fans.
Game-day at ANZ Stadium will be a fun-filled extravaganza culminating in an opportunity for fans to join both teams on the playing surface for the post-match presentation.
Parramatta legends Ray Price, Brett Kenny, Michael Vella, Adam Peek and Brad Drew will headline a NSW Police curtain-raiser match to celebrate 150 years of NSW Policing, while a host of fellow Eels greats will greet the crowd on Harleys Davidson motorcycles in a pre-game lap of the stadium.
A Police helicopter will thrill spectators by delivering the Eels’ special edition ‘Farewell Nathan Hindmarsh’ jerseys the team will wear in the landmark match. The side wore ‘Farewell Luke Burt’ jerseys in last week’s match against South Sydney.
The main match will feature a guard of honour of Nathan Hindmarsh and Luke Burt’s junior teams, the Robertson Spuddies and Dudley Magpies.
Eels Chief Executive Bob Bentley said the opportunity to attend the match should not be missed by fans hoping to farewell four legends of rugby league.
“Nathan and Luke have put the call out to our supporters to turn out in force on Sunday and knowing how passionate they are, I’m confident we’ll have a great turnout at ANZ Stadium,” Bentley said.
“We’ve organised free shuttle buses from Parramatta Leagues and encourage all supporters to keep up to date with all game-day information on our website.
“It’s going to be a special occasion for all present, and a once in a lifetime chance to farewell two of the greatest players this Club has seen.”
