After a devastating knee injury late in the 2011 season, and further complications in the 2012 pre-season, Jacob Loko has finally received some encouraging news - selection for the NSW Blues in waiting Origin Camp.
Over his 15 month recovery period, Loko faced training without the NRL team, most of the time going it alone in the gym, so selection in the team can be seen as a result of his attitude and work ethic off the field.
“I’m really excited, its a great honour…
“Its certainly going to be a different experience, getting the opportunity to see what Origin players go through and how they prepare for a game. I feel very privileged especially after a frustrating season with injury” said Loko.
The players will take part in a 3 day camp that will gather in Coogee on Friday 18th January.
"The emphasis of this camp is on what it takes to become a successful Origin player and team member.
"I would like to continue this important pathways program for the players to reach their full potential." NSW Origin Coach Laurie Daley said.
