The players pushed through the pain barrier and scorching heat in a scheduled training session at Richie Benaud Oval.
At the gateway to Sydney's greater west temperatures reached 40.1 degrees in Parramatta throughout the 70 minute run but coaching staff were on hand to ensure all players were monitored and well hydrated.
Head of Physical Preparation and Performance Trent Elkin said, “We made sure there were extra hydration breaks throughout the session. There were certainly no complaints about the ice-baths on hand for recovery.
