Morgan: Discipline, not Distractions

The Pirtek Parramatta Eels are heading into Monday night's match up with the Penrith Panthers with a weekend's break under their belts and a renewed focus thanks to head coach Ricky Stuart.
Centre Ryan Morgan says the head coach has been clear about what he wants the Eels to achieve in their upcoming clash, and the controversial press conference from round 6 is the furthest thing from his mind.
With Stuart gathering his team in for an in-depth discussion before training on Tuesday, Morgan says the emphasis was firmly on the Blue and Gold.
"We didn't really talk about referees," Morgan said.
"We're just trying to improve ourselves each week.
"At the end of the day it was us that [brought on] the penalties, so we've got to focus on our discipline.
"We've been speaking about the fact that we've got off to a couple good starts but teams have come home on us.
"We've just got to stay mentally strong, and stick with it the whole game."
Halfback Chris Sandow says he's using the benefits of the two-day break and Stuart's words to work on lifting his own performance and reproducing his impressive form in the opening games of the 2013 season.
"I think we brought that performance on ourselves [last round]," Sandow said.
"We could have put that game in the bag and silly errors out there gave it away.
"But we came in to training today really confident after the few days off and we've just got to get the little things right that put us back from the top teams.
"I had a great start to the season and hopefully I can pick it up from here this weekend."
