After four weeks on the sidelines, Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Darcy Lussick says he's more than ready to return to the Eels side, but he’s not expecting a free pass back into the starting 17.
After accepting an early guilty plea for a high tackle, Lussick admits it’s been tough watching from the stands as his teammates came close at Brookvale oval before notching up three wins on the trot.
“It’s obviously been a while since I played and it’s definitely hard watching the boys play so well from the sidelines,” Lussick said.
“They haven’t missed me too much!”
And if he returns to the side for the Eels’ Round 7 clash against the Wests Tigers, Lussick is expecting a big challenge from the Tigers’ in-form forward pack, even without hooker Robbie Farah.
“They’re some of the form forwards in the competition so it’ll be good to measure where you’re at, and some of us should take it as a personal test as well.”
“The thing is they’re talking a big game, but they’re also taking it onto the field; they’re confident.”
“But we’re working hard, we’re just battling away and we’ve strung a few wins together. It’s good to see and I just can’t wait to be a part of it.”
