Dyldam Parramatta Eels winger Ken Sio says he's feeling relieved to have 80 minutes of football under his belt ahead of Saturday’s match against the Raiders

Sio was sidelined with a shoulder fracture late in the season, and the Blue and Gold's Round 25 loss to the Knights marked the winger's first game back from the injury.

“I’ve been out for a couple of weeks but it was good to get that first game back under my belt," Sio said.

Despite a disappointing 42-12 scoreline against the Newcastle Knights last weekend, Sio says the team is clear about their priorities this week.

“It wasn’t the best game we’ve had,” Sio said.

“But that’s the past now and we’ve got Canberra this week so that’s our focus.”

A change of climate will present itself for their final encounter, with the hot and humid Darwin from Round 22 being replaced by the cold and frosty temperate of Canberra – a factor Ken Sio doesn’t seem to be fazed by.

“You’re right, it’s cold down there, and probably freezing as well, but I guess we’ve just got to bring our A-game and bring a lot of energy,” he said.

“Cold or not I guess it is part of our job and we’ve still got a job to do down there and hopefully get a win.”

Whilst Parramatta will be desperate to play finals football this season, there is still a game to be won and fixtures to fall in their favour before it can become a reality for the Eels.

“Finals are there but we are just focused on this week and what we have to step up to from last week.”
