New Dyldam Parramatta Eels outside back Reece Robinson, 27, who joined the club on a one year deal, is excited about the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership season and believes the Blue and Gold have the playing roster to push into Finals footy.

Robinson joins the squad that includes new signings and former Manly forwards, Anthony Watmough and Richard Fa’aoso, who will bring a wealth of experience to a relatively young squad.

“I am very excited about joining the team, especially after seeing the playing roster we have now,” Robinson said.

“We had a big forward pack as it was, but we will be bringing a few older blokes into it so their experience is going to help out a lot more”.

“We now have a young playing roster here at the Eels so I am sure we have a team that will definitely be up there this year. Hopefully we will be in the Finals in 2015 so I’m looking forward to it.”

Robinson has played 96 NRL games for the Canberra Raiders and Brisbane Broncos after making his debut at the Queensland club in 2008 and is looking forward to the opportunity to play under Brad Arthur and a new look Eels squad.

“My management made a few calls and I met up with Brad and I was pretty interested straight away,” Robinson said.

“Watmough is one of those players that always works hard for the team and he always puts his body on the line so I’m looking forward to teaming up with him.”

“The loss of Hayne was a bit of a shock to everyone. I am sure he will make the most of it and enjoy it. I am disappointed in Hayne’s departure but I’m sure whoever plays in that position will step up.”
