Hux Grill Dinner - UNICEF Fiji Appeal

The Dyldam Parramatta Eels and Blue and Gold Members and fans have continued to throw their support behind the UNICEF Fiji appeal for those affected by Cyclone Winston, with close to $15,000 donated!

This week (Monday 18 April), Blue and Gold Members and fans enjoyed a meal with some of the Eels at Eels ambassador Jay Huxley’s restaurant, Hux Grill in Penrith.

The seats at the dinner were put up for auction earlier in the year and received a total of $1,500 to be donated towards the Fiji appeal.

A fishing day with Jay Huxley and two Eels players also raised $700 to be donated towards the appeal.

Following the Eels win over the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, prop Darcy Lussick is honouring his end of the bet with Jay Huxley with a $500 donation towards the appeal.

Earlier this year, Fiji representative player and two-time Dally M Winger of the Year, Semi Radradra donated his boots from the Eels’ Round 1 blockbuster against the Brisbane Broncos towards the appeal, with the auction on his signed boots seeing a winning bid of $3524 donated.

Donations from the Blue and Gold Members and fans who attended the Round One clash, along with a $2 donation from every Semitrailer t-shirt sold at the game have been collated with a total of $9312.30 donated to the appeal.
