The Dyldam Parramatta Eels will take on the Canterbury Bankstown-Bulldogs this Friday night (April 29) at ANZ Stadium, and Blue and Gold prop Peni Terepo says the side must return to what they know and have done earlier in the year to come away with the win.
Reflecting on last week’s loss against the North Queensland Cowboys, Terepo said the side must improve their discipline with the ball when they take on the Bulldogs in Round Nine.
“We have to stick to what we do and minimise our errors and dumb penalties,” Terepo said.
“That is what cost us last week against the Cowboys so we are really focused on trying to be more disciplined by avoiding those penalties and errors.”
In the Eels last clash with the Bulldogs, it was a physical affair that saw the Blue and Gold come away with a 20-6 victory, and Terepo was looking forward to another big test in the middle of the field.
“It will be another tough battle against their forwards because they are a big pack too,” Terepo said.
“I’m looking forward to it and happy to be going up against some of their big fellas.”
And for his fellow teammate Semi Radradra, who was named in the Australian Kangaroos side to face New Zealand early next month, Terepo had nothing by praise for his winger.
“I am happy for Semi. He deserves that spot,” Terepo said.
“He has been the best winger for a couple of years now so there was no surprises in his selection.”
The Eels take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Friday 29 April. Kick off at 7:50pm.
