The Dyldam Parramatta Eels take on the Melbourne Storm for their Round 11 clash tonight, and Blue and Gold Assistant Coach Steve Murphy says the Eels are under no illusion of their task tonight.

Previewing the game thanks to betting.club, Murphy says that despite the tough ask, the Blue and Gold are confident they can come away with the two points.

“It was a great win last week that they had over the defending Premiers, so we are under no illusion it will be a very tough ask tonight,” Murphy said of the Melbourne Storm.

“The Australian captain is a class act and has been for a long time, with Cooper Cronk on the back of their forwards and Munster at the back, he is doing some wonderful things.”

“They are a great team right across the board, Jesse Bromwich up front, is strong and offloads the ball so we will have to do a good job but we are confident we can.”

“Munster has basically carried on where Billy Slater left off. It is hard to replace a champion but he is doing a wonderful job,” Murphy added.

However whilst the Storm boast plenty of dangers, Murphy said the side will need to be focused on what they can control and rebounding from last week’s loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

“We can’t be too focused on what they are doing, we have to improve on what we are doing,” Murphy said.

“We let a big lead slip last week, we should of put Souths away, but we weren’t good enough and we need to be better this week.”

“We turned a bit of ball over in the back end of the game and defensively we weren’t our normal selves.” Murphy added.

“Defensively, we have to be a lot better tonight and if we do that, we give ourselves every chance.”

And with the Blue and Gold welcoming back halfback Kieran Foran to the side, Murphy noted the importance of having him back on the park.

“More importantly for Kieran, it is wonderful for him to get back out on the park,”

“The boys love him, and we love him here at our club, and everyone is more than confident he will do a job and he is excited to be back.”

“We couldn’t be more grateful.”
