Dyldam Parramatta Eels back rower Beau Scott says he is looking forward to the Round 17 clash against the top of the table Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks.
Coming off the bye, Scott says the Blue and Gold have returned to training this week refreshed, ready for a big challenge.
“We had a few days off to refresh, and everyone has gone away, come back keen ready for the game this weekend,” Scott said.
“They are on a roll and winning pretty consistently, but I am looking forward to it,” Scott added when asked about the challenge of this weekend.
“It should be a good challenge, they are on top of the table for a reason, so we will have our work cut out for us.”
And with plenty of off-field noise surrounding the return of Eels winger Semi Radradra and the NRL handing down their findings in relation to recent breach notices, Scott said the Eels are focused on this weekend and their clash against the Sharks.
"It's not really frustrating, it is what it is. We can't control it," Scott said of the off-field dramas surrounding the Blue and Gold.
"We just get on with our jobs every weekend and play footy."
However one off-field issue Scott was focused on was the recent storms affecting the flood-ravaged town of Picton.
“Obviously the floods hit Picton fairly hard a fortnight ago now, and we are doing a bit of fundraising,” Scott said.
“I know a lot of people have thrown their support behind the town over the last couple of weeks.”
“There is a bit of a do, Saturday week, out at Picton to raise a bit of funds but there are a lot of shops that haven't reopened yet and I don't know if they will so I think it is important to get behind a little town like that and get it back on it's feet.”
The Eels kick off against the Sharks at 7.30pm on Saturday, July 2, at Southern Cross Group Stadium in the 2016 Johnny Mannah Cup.
