Last Game at Pirtek Stadium, Last Monday Night Game.

Dyldam Parramatta Eels back rower Kenny Edwards says claiming a 30-18 victoy over the St. George Illawarra Dragons at Pirtek Stadium last night (Monday 29 August) was an awesome experience and one that the Blue and Gold had been building too.

"We have been building the last couple of weeks. We have gotten out to big starts but to be able to finish it off tonight and it do it infront of this crowd tonight was awesome," Edwards said after the full time siren.

"We had the license to throw the ball around. Unfortuantely we can't make the finals, but we will be looking to do that next week, throw the ball arounnd."

The quick thinking Edwards crossed for a four pointer of his own, in the 30th minute of the match, taking a quick tap in front of the posts before running 20m to cross over under the posts untouched.

The backrower said he had thought about it before the game.

"It is something I have been watching over the last few weeks, people scoring easy tries, but I was just lucky," Edwards said.

"I was just in the right spot at the right time."

And with the Eels farewelling Pirtek Stadium, their home ground for the past 30 years, Edwards said it was special to play infront of the Blue and Gold Army for the final time in 2016.

"100%, look at these fans. It is our last game here and this is awesome," Edwards said.

"This is an awesome feeling to get a win for these fans and for our boys leaving since it is their last game here."
