Yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 13 December), players from the Parramatta Eels visited the Children's Hospital at Westmead to take a ward tour and visit some of the patients doing it tough heading into the festive season.
For Blue and Gold players Tepai Moeroa and Brad Takairangi, the visit to the hospital visiting the patients was special.
“We enjoy days like this. To take a few hours to come see the children definitely brightens up their day,” Moeroa said.
“They are sitting in their hospital rooms, some of them for months on end, so it’s good to come and hopefully put a smile on their face.”
“They are going through a tough time at such a young age and to hopefully make their day happy will be good.”

Takairangi echoed Moeroa’s statements, as the visit put things into perspective.
“It is a pretty special day for us to come spend some time with the kids and put some smiles on their faces is awesome,” Takairangi said.
“We have been getting flogged at pre-season, but coming here in the afternoon, spending some time with the kids to see smiles on their faces is what we are here for.“
“It’s awesome to have a big following, a lot of the kids here love their Parramatta players so it’s been good” he added.
The Eels have a long standing with the Children's Hospital at Westmead with the Hopsital one of the three Eels Gold Charity Partners, and yesterday's visit was one of many visits the Blue and Gold take throughout the year.
