In 2017, when the Parramatta Eels win on the field, we will be announcing three awards presented to the players following the game.

The awards are:

·      Grappa Relentless Effort Award and

·      Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award

These awards are presented to the players as chosen by Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur and the Blue & Gold coaching staff in relation to how they meet the Eels standards and expectations.

See the Round Eighteen Eels Awards below.

Rebel Moment of the Week Award – Nathan Brown

This week’s Rebel Moment of the Week Award goes to Blue & Gold forward Nathan Brown.

The moment occurred in the 63d minute of the clash, with the Eels holding a 16-6 lead but the Melbourne Storm determined to fight until the final siren.

Storm winger Josh Addo-Carr found space down the side line before chipping over the top of fullback Clint Gutherson into the in goal. With Addo-Carr sprinting towards the ball, looking determined to score, it was Blue & Gold forward Nathan Brown who won the race to the ball, putting his body on the line to bat it dead and stop the Storm momentum.

A monumental effort from Brown, who ended the clash with 201m from 25 runs and 45 tackles.

Grappa Relentless Effort Award – Clint Gutherson

This week’s Grappa Relentless Effort Award goes to Blue & Gold fullback Clint Gutherson.

A persistent effort from the fullback who was active in both attack and defence, amassing 182m from 17 runs, two line breaks, one try and three goals.

Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award – Semi Radradra

This week’s Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award goes to Blue & Gold winger Semi Radradra.

The winger was back to his attacking best, exploding from the get-go. He finished with one try, 10 tackle breaks, four line breaks and over 200m from 12 runs.
