In 2017, when the Parramatta Eels win on the field, we will be announcing three awards presented to the players following the game.
The awards are:
· Rebel Moment of the Week Award
· Grappa Relentless Effort Award and
· Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award
These awards are presented to the players as chosen by Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur and the Blue & Gold coaching staff in relation to how they meet the Eels standards and expectations.

Rebel Moment of the Week Award – Will Smith
This week’s Rebel Moment of the Week Award goes to Blue & Gold Will Smith, for his try in the 45th minute of the clash.
With Bevan French not returning in the second half after sustaining a leg injury, utility Will Smith was called into the action in the number one jersey.
Five minutes into the second half, Smith slice through the Titans right edge defence 30 meters from the Gold Coast line, beating four defenders and crossing just right to the right of the uprights.
The individual try, which showed plenty of strength and determination from Smith, provided the Eels with an 18-0 lead and plenty of momentum to start the second half.
This was Smith’s first try of the night, finishing with two line breaks and two four pointers during his 45 minutes on the field.
Grappa Relentless Effort Award – Daniel Alvaro
This week’s Grappa Relentless Effort Award goes to Blue & Gold forward Daniel Alvaro.
After being called into the starting side, with Siosaia Vave dropping out of the final seventeen players, Alvaro had a mammoth effort with 44 tackles, 62m from 10 runs and one line break.
Alvaro was rewarded with a try in the 24th minute of the clash, when the prop crashed over for the Eels second try of the clash after taking a short ball from Cameron King close to the line.
Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award – Michael Jennings
This week’s Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award goes to Blue & Gold centre Michael Jennings.
The experienced outside back finished with a solid 22 tackles and 40m from five runs during his controlled performance.
Jennings nearly had his own four pointer on the night, when in the 75th minute, he challenged for a Mitch Moses bomb and seemed to grab the ball and score however it was denied by the bunker due to a knock-on in the contest.
