After getting the nod from Head Coach Brad Arthur to start the season at fullback, French shifted to the wing to make way for the in-form Clint Gutherson in Round 15, before playing his final three games back in the number one jersey, finishing with 16 games in 2017.

In just his first NRL season with a full pre-season under his belt, the young fullback showed flashes of brilliance and lighting quick reflexes proving why he is such an x-factor on the rugby league field.

French crossed for nine tries in the 2017 season sitting fourth on the Eels try-scoring list this season behind Semi Radradra, Clint Gutherson and Michael Jennings.

A lighting fast footballer with silky skills, Blue & Gold fans will be excited to see French back in action in 2018.
