Brett Kenny's Footy Legends Lunch

Last week, on Friday 27 October, the Legends of Rugby League came together to help raise funds for Parramatta Eels Hall of Fame Brett Kenny.

Held at the Australian Brewery in Rouse Hill, Kenny and other members of the 1986 Parramatta Eels premiership team of the eighties including Mick Cronin, Ray Price, Peter Sterling, Steve Edge and Eric Grothe Snr, along with other NRL and sporting stars, entertained over one hundred guests in attendance during the four hour function.

The day saw the legends share fond memories of their time together, mingle with guests, taking photos and signing plenty of autographs with those in attendance, before helping conduct a live auction where generous bids were made on all auction items. The proceeds along with ticket sales, which were in excess of $70,000, will go towards Kenny.

Check out some of the photos from the afternoon in the gallery above.

Kenny was diagnosed with Non-Hodkin lymphoma and a cancerous tumour inside his stomach in July and has since been undergoing chemotherapy.
