Members of the Parramatta Eels squad visited schools in #eelsterritory this week.
Starting off the day by meeting and greeting with young local NT students, the Blue & Gold told the players about themselves, their upbringing and where they came are from before students, in particular those from the Alice Springs School of the Air (http://eels.co/2ADWeEp) , told them about their schooling system, where they come from and how they keep up to date with their education.

“It’s been a great experience for me coming here and seeing how these kids are learning online. It’s a privilege to me and a learning curve for me and it’s been a great day,” Nathan Brown said.
They then headed out to the fields where the boys taught them a few basic footy skills like passing, catching and kicking.
“We got to learn how these kids live their life and what they do day to day, things that I’ve never seen before,” Tony Williams said.
“Seeing these kids, making them happy, makes me happy, it’s an honour to be here,” he added.
“I know that I’ve got kids and this is something special when you’ve got an NRL team and NRL players come here hopefully we can do more of this and make the kids happy.”
The schools the Blue & Gold visited were the Ltyentye Apurte Catholic School (Santa Teresa), Braitling PS, Araluen Christian School, Bradshaw PS, Gillen PS, Living Waters Lutheran, Alice Springs School of the Air, Sadadeen PS, Owen Springs Educational Centre - Juvenile Detention, Ross Park PS and Yirara College.
