The Dyldam Parramatta Eels understand that our club is more than an NRL footy team. It is a major community entity in Sydney's west and we take that responsibility seriously.
The players, staff and many of our supporters highly value the work they can do to assist those in need and help the community whenever possible.
That's why the Eels Blue and Gold Heart Community Program is so important. It is just another step in bringing the Parramatta National Rugby League Club, the Parramatta District Rugby League Club, the Parramatta Leagues Club, and the community of greater western Sydney together in a lasting and meaningful way.
In 2014, the Parramatta Eels have four official charity partners.
Eels Charity Partners:
The Children's Hospital at Westmead
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is the highly respected, largest paediatric centre in NSW, providing excellent care for children from NSW, Australia and across the Pacific Rim.
The Children’s Hospital at Westmead is world renowned for providing the best care for sick children and their families. This specialist care, combined with community education, advocacy for improved child health and ground-breaking research into childhood illnesses, is blended within a positive, caring and healing environment.
Funded by the NSW Government, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead provides significant extra services aided by the generosity of individual and corporate donors.
Mitch Allgood and Ben Smith are both proud Eels ambassadors for the Children's Hospital at Westmead.

Ronald McDonald House, Westmead
Ronald McDonald House at Westmead is a caring home away from home for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
When families have to travel far from home to receive specialised medical care for their sick child, seeking accommodation in an unfamiliar place only adds to their stress and anxiety. Treatments can sometimes take weeks, months or even years and children need their families close by for comfort and reassurance. Though there is no place like home, Ronald McDonald House Westmead strives to provide a safe and comfortable environment where the whole family can stay together for the duration of their child’s treatment.
Eels co-captain Tim Mannah is the ambassador for Ronald McDonald House, Westmead.

The Black Dog Institute
The Black Dog Institute is a not-for-profit, educational, research, clinical and community-orientated facility offering specialist expertise in depression and bipolar disorder.
Ben Smith and Mitch Allgood are the Eels ambassadors for The Black Dog Institute.
