The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have lost a nail-biter at Brookvale Oval, with the Manly Sea Eagles scoring a try in the final minute to win 22-18.
The visitors clawed their way back into the match to get in front with just five minutes to go, but a last minute try from Steve Matai saw the home side get a win.
It was Matai who opened the scoring for the Sea Eagles after three sets in a row for the home side following back to back penalties, with Lyon making a rare miss with the conversion.
Both sides weren’t without opportunities to add to the scoreline, with mistakes from both teams seeing the ball lost right near the try line.
David Williams came close to adding another for the Sea Eagles but the video referee overruling with grounding issues.
Peta Hiku scored in in the 31st minute for the home team after slipping past the Eels defence, this time with Lyon adding the extras.
The Eels came out with intent for the second half, with Toutai picking up a great ball from Hayne to score early in the corner.
The “Semi-Trailer” Radradra then showed some magic on the wing, fighting off four Sea Eagles defenders to make his way to the try line.
Jamie Lyon showed his experience as a cool head, with a barnstorming try to keep the Sea Eagles in front by eight points.
Radradra showed he’s made of solid stuff, scoring his second try of the day and his sixth of the season - but Paulo was unsuccessful with the boot again.
The Semi-Trailer’s magic wasn’t finished for the day - chipping a kick, regathering, knocking it to Hayne who then passed it to Peats who scored.
Under immense pressure, Paulo kicked the conversion from out in front to get the Eels in the lead 18-16.
But the Sea Eagles kept their heads, with a high bomb from Daly Cherry-Evans finding Cheyse Blair, who knocked it back to Matai who scored.
The Eels will return home next week to host the Penrith Panthers at Pirtek Stadium for Round 4.
