Dyldam Parramatta Eels co-captain Tim Mannah says teammate Fuifui Moimoi may be acting shy ahead of his 200th game on the weekend, but behind the scenes the cult hero has been pumping up the side for a big game against the Sharks.

“I couldn’t be more proud of the Foo (Fuifui Moimoi),” Mannah said.

“He’s definitely a character that’s very well-loved among the team but also among the fans and the rugby league community.”

“He’ll pretend like he wants to be humble about it, but he wants to make sure it’s a big day. He’s reminding us to make sure we put in a big performance.”

The Round 21 match up on Saturday won’t just be a celebration of #foohundred games, it’s also a game that Mannah says could swing either way based on the Sharks’ recent form.

“This competition has showed very much that there are no guarantee wins and no easy games,” Mannah said.

“Every team is a tough game, every week is a tough week.”

“But we got the win last week and hopefully the monkey’s off our back now.”

“I thought our attitude in defence [against the Titans] was really good but also we started in the second half to throw the ball around a bit, and we’re a team that when we’re throwing it around we play a lot better.”

And for Mannah, it’s also his second game back after a shoulder injury picked up in Round 16 against Newcastle sidelined him for two matches.

“I think your first game back you always go in there a bit nervous and not sure how the body will hold up and go through it,” Mannah said.

“Getting that game under my belt has helped with the confidence, and I’m looking forward to getting back out there again this week.”
