Eels Injury and Unavailable Update

See the latest update on the Dyldam Parramatta Eels heading into their Round 20 trip to Townsville to take on the North Queensland Cowboys. 

After consulting with their specialists, prop Danny Wicks (shoulder) and lock Anthony Watmough (knee) will both undergo surgery this week ruling them out for the remainder of the 2015 NRL Telstra Premiership season. 

 

Shattered to miss the rest of the year with injury... It's the first time in 14yrs of first grade that I will finish the year injured. My first major injury, not a bad run.... Will have surgery on Friday... thanks everyone for the support especially all my @theparraeels team mates and staff... it's been a tough year u have Patched me together to get me to each game but it finally gave out... Also a big thanks to all to my friends,fans and all my family for the support this year even if u didn't support parra u still supported me and it will never be forgotten, u guys know who u are ... We will be back next year ready to go...

They join Richie Fa'aoso (shoulder - indefinite), Peni Terepo (pectoral - season), Kaysa Pritchard (pectoral - season), Beau Champion (knee - season) Kenny Edwards (knee - season) on the long-term injury list for the Blue and Gold.

Five-eighth Corey Norman is expected to miss approximately three matches as he recovers from damage to the posterior cruciate ligament in his knee.
