The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have visited 12 schools and community groups in Alice Springs as part of the NRL Community Carnival.
The 24 players who travelled to Eels Territory spent time talking to more than a thousand kids about wellbeing.
Eels forward Daniel Alvaro says he’s loving being back in the Territory.
“The schools have a great setup here and great facilities, and the kids have all been really friendly,” Alvaro said.
“We’re trying to have a positive impact talking about hydration, sleep, diet and overall wellbeing and any good effect we can have is a good thing.”
Saturday’s game against the Gold Coast Titans kicks off at 7.40pm at Anzac Oval - a game Alvaro is keen to play.
“I can’t wait to play, it’s been a long time and I’m keen to get back out there,” he said.
“I’ve been working on little things here and there in my game, mainly discipline and trying to get my fitness a bit better and trying to bring it all together.”
