The Parramatta Eels secured a thrilling 17-16 victory over the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium tonight, with the two Club's playing for the inaugural Stay Kind Cup.

"I think our completion ended up reasonable, but i have two trains of thought with it. We did a good job to win the game. In the past we have tried to find ways and we would of thrown that game away and lost it so I am proud that we managed to hang on. We can't take credit away from the Wests Tigers because they had a red hot crack at us." Arthur said after the game.

"The other side is how disappointed at some of our performances over the 80 minutes, but it's a win and we will take it."

"We are going to have to be a lot, lot better next week if we want to try and compete with the Broncos." Arthur added.

"The priority for us is to try and keep winning and finding ways to win. But at some stage we have to find an eight minute performance because we haven't done that."

"The effort was there and we were trying hard but I thought we were just trying to win it everytime we got the ball." Arthur went on to say.

"We made a lot of line breaks, but we didnt capiltaise. I don't think we should take any credit away from the Wests Tigers, because I thought they played well and had a crack."

Eels fullback Clint Gutherson appeared to leave the field nursing a knee injury, and Arthur had an update on the in-form footballer.

"Gutho is going to have to get some scans tomorrow, but we don't think it's great. I am not sure exactly what the diagnosis is but it could be bad." Arthur said.

"He has been great. Footy is a tough game, and it's not always fair and he is one bloke that it's not fair if he has to be out for an extended period. He has helped put us into this position that we are in."

"At the end of the day, i think long term Bevan is going to be a fullback but Gutho was in really good form and Bevan was finding it hard to get that spot. Bev can slot straight in there, and we have a few blokes coming back next week which should help." Arthur added on French filling the number one jersey if Gutherson becomes unavailable.
