James Hardie x Parramatta Eels – Community Rugby League Boots Giveaway

Terms & Conditions

  1. Promoter 
    The promoter of this initiative is James Hardie Australia Pty Ltd in conjunction with the Parramatta Eels (together, the Promoters). 
  2. Eligibility 
    This giveaway is open to members of the local community who attend the distribution location on the specified date and time. Employees of the Promoters and their immediate families are eligible to participate. 
  3. Promotion Details
    • Rugby league boots will be gifted free of charge to eligible participants.
    • There is no requirement for payment, purchase, or donation to receive boots. 
    • Quantities and sizes are limited and subject to availability.
  4. Distribution Method
    • Boots will be distributed on a first in, best dressed basis. 
    • Distribution will occur while stocks last. 
    • No pre-booking, reservations, or holds will be accepted.
  5. Date, Time and Location
    • Date: 28 January 2026 
    • Location: James Hardie Centre of Excellence 
      304 Stone Mason Drive, NSW
    • Distribution will take place during the designated event period only.
  6. Sizes and Availability
    • Available sizes are limited and cannot be guaranteed.
    • Participants acknowledge that their preferred size may not be available at the time of attendance.
  7. Exchanges
    • Boots may only be exchanged for a different size if stock is available at the time of the request. 
    • Exchanges are subject to remaining stock not already allocated or committed to other participants. 
    • No further exchanges will be permitted once distribution stock is exhausted. 
  8. No Cash Alternative
    • Boots are not transferable, refundable, or redeemable for cash, credit, or any other goods or services.
  9. Limitations
    • Limit of one (1) pair of boots per person. 
    • The Promoters reserve the right to refuse participation or distribution to any individual who does not comply with these Terms & Conditions or who behaves in a disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate manner. 
  10. Minors & Parent/Guardian Consent
    • Participants under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at the time of distribution. 
    • By allowing a minor to participate, the parent or legal guardian consents to the minor’s participation and accepts these Terms & Conditions on the minor’s behalf. 
    • The parent or legal guardian agrees to assume responsibility for the minor’s use of the boots and, to the maximum extent permitted by law, releases and indemnifies the Promoters from any claims arising from the minor’s participation or use of the boots. 
  11. Photo & Video Consent
    • Participants acknowledge and agree that the Promoters (and their agents, contractors, and media partners) may photograph, film, or record participants at the event. 
    • Participants grant the Promoters a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, publish, and distribute such images or recordings for promotional, marketing, media, and reporting purposes, in any format and across any media channels (including digital, social media, broadcast, and print). 
    • For participants under 18 years of age, parent or legal guardian consent is deemed to be provided by permitting the minor to attend and participate in the event. 
    • Participants (and parents/guardians of minors) waive any right to inspect, approve, or receive compensation for the use of such images or recordings.
  12. Assumption of Risk & Use of Boots
    • Participants acknowledge that rugby league is a physical activity and that use of the boots is at their own risk.
    • The Promoters make no representation or warranty that the boots are suitable for a particular purpose, playing surface, or level of play.
  13. Liability Disclaimer
    • To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Promoters will not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, expense, injury, or death suffered or incurred as a result of participation in this initiative or the use of the boots. 
    • This includes, but is not limited to, indirect or consequential loss.
  14. Australian Consumer Law
    • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantees, rights, or remedies conferred by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable legislation that cannot be excluded. 
    • Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
  15. Force Majeure 
    The Promoters are not responsible for any delay, interruption, or cancellation of the initiative due to events beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to weather events, public safety concerns, or government restrictions.
  16. Changes and Cancellation 
    The Promoters reserve the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the initiative at any time without notice if circumstances require.
  17. Governing Law 
    These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and participants submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of NSW. 
  18. Acceptance of Terms 
    Participation in this initiative constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
