Biography

Peter Wynn was identified by commentator Ray Warren who tipped coach Terry Fearnley on the young country prodigy.

A series of injuries saw him miss the Club’s first Grand Final victory in 1981, but he played in 1982, 1983 and 1986 premiership-winning teams.

In 1985, Peter was selected for NSW and toured New Zealand with the Australian team. In 1986, another injury forced him out of the starting line-up for the Eels’ fourth grand final victory but came on as a substitute in the second half. In the same year, he was awarded Clubman of the Year and held the position of Club Captain until he retired in 1990.

He was inducted into the Parramatta Hall of Fame in 2002 and served as a member of the rugby league judiciary in the 1990s following his retirement.

Peter went on to establish a very successful sports store business in the heart of Parramatta.
