Our Emblem

Players show unmatched dedication on the field, always giving their best for the badge they represent, and fans wear their jerseys with pride. It is the badge that connects us all.

In the formative years, the Club adopted the Parramatta City Council’s logo which featured indigenous fishermen and a fishing boat.

In the late 1970s, a variation of the circular badge emerged, aligning with the growing influence of American sports branding in Australia. The N.S.W. Rugby Football League introduced distinct logos for each club and trademarked them to ensure they received a share of the revenue from jerseys and merchandise.

The addition of the Eel to the badge, suggested by Sydney journalist Peter Frilingos in 1965, aimed to better reflect the club’s identity with a native animal and the local area.

While the badge has evolved over the years, Parramatta has returned to the iconic circular design worn today.

Badge that connects us all.
