Members, fans and Eels tragics everywhere, doesnt it feel great that the footy season is finally here. Everyone within the Eels have been working tirelessly this pre-season to make sure that not only is our team ready for round 1 but that you - our supporters - are with us every step of the way.
This time last year the Pirtek Parramatta Eels were sitting at just over 9000 Members, today we are quickly closing in on 13,500. For those of you who have made the commitment to become Members we are so very thankful. Our aim is 20,000 members by the end of this season and as part of our 5-year strategic plan we need 40,000 by the end of 2017.
You are probably asking why membership is so important. Well there are a few main reasons. Firstly, it signifies that you are in the trenches with us, fighting from the sidelines for supremacy through your undeniable connection to the Pirtek Parramatta Eels. Secondly, money that is raised from membership goes directly into Rickys boys. Better training facilities and resources mean a better team in the long run. And finally, with 40,000 Members we are in an incredibly strong position to apply for a brand new state of the art High Performance Community Centre.
I hope to hear you all cheering loudly and proudly for the boys at Parramatta Stadium this Saturday against the Warriors. Thanks again for your support Were in, ARE YOU!
