After a barnstorming start to the Holden Cup season against the New Zealand Warriors in round one the Pirtek Parramatta Eels have come back down to earth with a thud in recent weeks. Two comprehensive defeats to the Canterbury Bulldogs and Wests Tigers sees the Eels sitting in ninth place on the NYC ladder.

Coach Andrew Webster has cracked the whip in team selections this week with regular five-eighth Mitchell Brasington shifting to fullback, giving Sam Gorman the opportunity to shine in the halves alongside Zach Dockar-Clay. The forwards have also been given a shake up with Luke Vescio, Frazer Masinamua, Jordan Latham all dropped to the bench.

Kaysa Pritchard will captain the side after being given the nod at hooker, with Diamond Charlie and Junior Paulo joining him in the new-look starting pack.

Easter Monday's clash against the Sydney Roosters gives the side a chance to atone, with the Roosters sitting just one place above them on the table after starting the season with two wins and one loss from their opening three games.
