Dear Blue and Gold Army,

Parramatta Eels legend Peter Sterling summed things up beautifully today when he said: being a true supporter is keeping the faith through thick and thin.

On the field the boys are experiencing somewhat of a tough period but it is important that we all remember that, as a club, we are in a rebuilding phase.

This football team under Ricky Stuart is focused on achieving long-term success and creating a winning culture, 2 things that dont happen overnight.

Everyone is working hard and those core values of care and mateship that the Coach instills on his players are growing stronger everyday.

Having one of the clubs greats in Peter Sterling show his full support for what the club is building towards is invaluable, but so to is the backing of Eels fans.

The best way to demonstrate that is to become a member. On Good Friday we cracked 15000 members, a record for this club as we aim for 20,000 by the end of 2013 and 40,000 by the end of 2017.

Your membership and your passion show our players that you are unswerving in your support of Ricky and his team who understand the sacrifices you make to get behind your Parramatta Eels.

Off the field we continue to build strong relationships. Just a short time after one of the worlds biggest electrical companies in Changhong joined the Eels as a Sponsorship partner, we welcome another member to the Eels family in Fowler Homes who have come on board as our front of shorts sponsor for 2013.

Fowler Homes are a residential development company that provides House and Land Packages and display homes in Kellyville Homeworld 5, Oran Park and Freemans Ridge. We are very proud that they have decided to come on board as it provides further evidence that we are a club on the rise.

This weekend we will honor the life of Johnny Mannah, a life that was taken too soon.

Johnny was a Parramatta junior who played 24 NRL games for the Sharks. He reunited with his brother Tim at the Eels for the 2012 pre-season before the cancer he had once beaten, returned.

Against the Sharks at Parramatta Stadium on Saturday we dont mourn Johnny, we celebrate the incredible impact he had on all the lives he touched.

#celebratejohnny

Regards,

Ken
