Concentrating for the full 80 minutes will be the focus for the Pirtek Parramatta Eels when they take on the Cronulla Sharks in Saturday afternoon's NYC encounter at Parramatta Stadium.
A significant drop off in intensity cost the team dearly in the narrow loss to the Sydney Roosters on Monday night. With the game seemingly in the bag for the blue and golds at 20-6 midway through the second half, defensive lapses resulted in a 22-20 defeat at Allianz Stadium.
However, there were plenty of positive signs to suggest the young Eels team is on the improve. Coach Andrew Webster has opted to go with an unchanged line-up for this weekend's battle with the Sharks, who posted their first win of the season against St George-Illawarra on Easter Sunday.
Mitchell Brasington looks to be enjoying the extra room to move at fullback, while Sam Gorman showed plenty of confidence at five-eighth in his return from injury and his partnership with Zach Dockar-Clay will continue to develop in coming weeks.
With the home crowd behind them the Eels will be hoping to notch their second win of the season against the Sharks in a very tightly contested Holden Cup competition.
