The Pirtek Parramatta Eels are proud to have hosted a group of teenage boys from Bourke High School, as part of their association with the Clontarf Foundation.

The Clontarf Foundation is dedicated to improving the education, discipline, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal men, and uses various codes of football as a way to keep them engaged.

The eight boys and two mentors attended one of our training sessions as their Term One camp for having greater than 80% attendance at school and football training for the 2013 school year.

The boys met our entire NRL squad and head coach Ricky Stuart spoke to them about family, friendships, school and football - and the importance of staying grounded and involved.

Parramatta legends Nathan Hindmarsh and Luke Burt also attended the training session to speak with the boys about their experiences with football and the importance of education.

The Clontarf Foundation's program has been running for 14 years, and has only just begun in NSW this year - with a big focus on growing the relationships in the rugby league community.
