The Parramatta Eels want to say a huge congratulations to the Rabbitohs on their 25,000 Member milestone, and say .... we're coming for you!
There's no doubt the South Sydney Rabbitohs are leading the pack off the field when it comes to member numbers in 2013. On Thursday this week they chalked up their 25,000th member and congratulated the lucky number 25,000 with centre Greg Inglis at Redfern Oval.
They are the first club to reach 25,000 members, and they boast the biggest membership base in the NRL.
But we also have to stop for a second and remind the fierce competitors over at cardinal and myrtle not to forget about the mighty blue and gold.
Parramatta Eels members are passionate and persistent. The Eels are starting to build a new era of blue and gold and working for a new level of success on and off the field.
And behind us, we already have 15,625 dedicated and loyal Eels members. We'll keep working all season to build that number as we head for our target of 20,000 in 2013, and 40,000 members in 2017.
And every season we'll work harder to keep building the Eels family and making sure every Parramatta Eels fan is part of our path to improvement and success.
On behalf of every one of our 15,625 members, we have to say to South Sydney: we may be all the way over in Parramatta, but we're also right behind you!
