Pirtek Parramatta Eels forward Darcy Lussick says the side is committed to a full 80 minute performance this week against the Brisbane Broncos - with the boys keen to get a win.

"To lose to the Cowboys was a bit heartbreaking but we took a lot out of it," he said.

"It was probably just one little lapse that let that try in and that ended up costing us. But we take a lot out of that game - we had good effort there and it's given us plenty of things to work on for this week."

The Eels side has been training in Kiama this week - in the lead-up to our home game this Saturday night.

"Yeah it is a good change, we came down here in the preseason or a couple of days and it's good to get back down here and change it up a bit," he said.

"It's probably just spending a bit more time around each other, getting ready to focus on footy for a bit together."

"The weather's been good for us - we can go for a swim."

Does anyone on the team pack a surfboard?

"Ha - no-oone packs the surfboards, we're all Westies around here, no surfing in Parramatta!"

Lussick says this week is about imitating the effort from last week's match.

"We're just trying to build a bit of consistency, we've been struggling this year in putting back to back performances, so that'd definitely something we're looking forward to this week."
