To celebrate the seventh annual Harvey Norman Women in League Round this weekend, the Pirtek Parramatta Eels are marking the occasion by auctioning off pink boots!

ASICS has produced one-off pairs of Pink Lethal Tigreor boots and given them to their ambassadors to wear during Round 10, which at the Eels is Tim Mannah, Ken Sio and Fuifui Moimoi.

Elsewhere around the NRL, Greg Inglis, Terry Campese, Benji Marshall and Jonathan Thurston are just a handful of superstar players also wearing the pink boots.

Following our game against the St George Illawarra Dragons, Tim Mannah and Fuifui Moimoi will auction off their boots in conjunction with The McGrath Foundation, with all funds going towards directly to The McGrath Foundation.

Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh has also signed some of the boots to be auctioned off.

Parramatta Eels' Community Relations Officer Briony Akle says she's proud the club can support this great charity.

"The Parramatta Eels have a strong relationship with the McGrath Foundation so to have some of our players wear the ASICS pink boots this weekend is a wonderful way to raise awareness and funds for a fantastic organisation," Briony said.

"Tim and Fui are both fan favourites so we know Eels members and fans will get behind the auction and hopefully the team can christen the boots with a win."

"We'll also be wearing our official 2013 Women in League jerseys in round 22 this year, which means we actually get to mark the occasion twice!"
