The Pirtek Parramatta Eels have granted Taulima Tautai an immediate release from his contract with the club to pursue an opportunity to play in the English Super League.

Tautai, a Parramatta junior with the Cabra-Vale Diggers Cobras, debuted for the Eels in 2008. He went on to play 72 NRL games for Parramatta and Cronulla.

The 25 year old has signed a deal with the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats and will leave for England this week.

This is a great opportunity for Taulima to test himself in a new competition. He has been a great servant to this club and we wish him all the best for his next challenge, Pirtek Parramatta Eels CEO Ken Edwards said.
