The milestone continues the Parramatta Eels' record-setting year for memberships, with the club on-track to hit its target of 20,000 members for the season.
Eels CEO Ken Edwards says the milestone is only the beginning for the Pirtek Parramatta Eels.
"To go from 12,000 to 16,000 members the year after collecting the wooden spoon is a great achievement," Edwards said.
"But more so it's a true reflection of the work our club, our coach and our players have done re-engaging with our fans and the community.
"It is our mission to engage with the people of Parramatta and Western Sydney and enrich their lives.
"We do this through strengthening and growing our connection with schools, our charity and community partners and our junior league which is experiencing record growth.
"I believe fans see this and say that's a club I want to be a member of.
"We will continue to work hard as we build towards our target of 20,000 strong members of the Blue and Gold army."
