Pirtek Parramatta Eels prop Mitch Allgood says he's confident the Blue and Gold side will return to former glory, talking for the first time about why he chose to re-sign with the club for an additional two years.
Talking to Sky Big Sports Breakfast this morning, Mitch says he can feel a change coming.
"We've showed signs of forty minutes here and there of the team that we can be, and the team that we are - but disappoint ourselves with some of our performances a few times as well," he said.
"And I can see it changing and seeing us becoming a competitive, top-four side."
"I love this club and want to stay here and be a part of that change."

Despite an up-and-down start to the 2013 season, Allgood says the morale at the club is still high.
"We've had a few losses, we're a little bit disappointed after the weekend, we put a good first half performance in and really let it slip away in the second half," he said.
"Besides losing the game, all the boys are doing ok - focussing on each week as it comes and putting a good performance in."
Mitch was also asked his thoughts about the new zero-tolerance rule for striking.
"Personally it's a contact game and sometimes feelings and tempers are going to flare - but whatever the refs decide to do I hope they're going to be consistent and do the same thing each week."
This Sunday is our special Juniors Week celebrations - where we dedicate our clash with the Rabbitohs to all those involved in making our Junior League possible.
"The Rabbitohs are having a really good season, we've just got to goo out there and be prepared for a big one," he said.
"It's our junior league round, we're dedicating the game to our junior district at Parramatta, so hopefully we can turn on a good one for the kids."
