Pirtek Parramatta Eels head coach Ricky Stuart says he's not going to risk playing star fullback Jarryd Hayne, as his hamstring isn't fully recovered from injury.
Sticky says it would have been nice for him to take the field, but it's important he fully heals.
"The best preparation for Origin is that he plays for us, but the [most important] is Jarryd Hayne, his physical wellbeing," he said.
"We don't want to put him at any risk as to aggravating it or having ongoing issues with it."
With the NSW Blues' Origin III team to be announced shortly this afternoon, Ricky says he's still unclear on whether Jarryd will play.
"We'll see where he is at the back end of this week, and going into camp next week. They definitely don't want disruptions, but it's where Jarryd's physical wellbeing is."
"If there's a hiccup, I won't risk his short term future for him getting back playing footy again."
