Pirtek Parramatta Eels head coach Ricky Stuart has praised his team's attitude on the field against the Penrith Panthers on Saturday night, even if the final scoreline saw the Panthers take home a 17-10 victory.
Coming off a 50-10 loss on Monday night to the Manly Sea Eagles, Stuart says he's more pleased with the team's commitment on the field than the closer scoreline.
"Well we didn't have to do much to improve on last week," Stuart said.
"I'll repeat what I just said to the boys in the sheds, I'm really really pleased with the way that they played."
"That's the way they've been training, the way the boys attitude has been at training."
"I'd prefer that loss tonight than flaking a win, because we really had a dig tonight, we played right to the 80th minute too."
"It was enjoyable to be a coach up there again tonight."
