Pirtek Parramatta Eels star Darcy Lussick says he's excited about his move to lock, after a fortnight of solid performances in Blue and Gold.

Travelling to Canberra this weekend to take on the Raiders, Darcy says he's feeling confident.

"I'm really enjoying lock, I get to start which is ultimately what I came here for," he said.

"There's not much difference with lock and front row anymore but I'm really enjoying it and enjoying my footy at the moment."

Darcy says the side put in a much improved showing against the Panthers, compared to a loss to Manly just five days earlier.

"I think everyone focussed on their own jobs, and the week before we had a few individual mistakes and individual misses in defence; but on Saturday, everyone did their job well," he said.

"But we didn't win, so we're looking for a big performance this week."

Lussick says the Raiders are in good form, and always are dangerous on home turf.

"We're heading down to Canberra, they play really well down there in their home town. We're going early and trying to prepare as best we can, to put in a good performance."
