The Pirtek Parramatta Eels Under 20s are busy preparing for an exciting match against the Canberra Raiders, who are currently first on the 2013 Holden Cup ladder.

Sitting in 12th position, the Eels are utilising their training time this week in order to play to their full potential with the Raiders slightly advantaged, having had the bye in Round 18.

Parramatta Coach Andrew Webster is drilling the team in an attempt to gain a higher placing on the ladder. The last time the two teams met at Canberra Stadium was in Round 10 in 2012, where the Eels returned home after a 62-30 loss.

Last weeks match showed a disappointing loss on home soil for the Eels against the Penrith Panther. However this week captain Takai Moeakiola is leading the charge, wanting to show the Blue and Gold Army that the boys mean business against the Canberra Raiders.

With Raiders co-captain Mitch Cornish set to return to the side this week after a foot injury, the Eels will be looking specifically for minor errors in the Raiders defence allowing them to cross the try line.

We wish the boys the best of luck!

Kick-off is at 3:15pm at Canberra Stadium.
