Pirtek Parramatta Eels assistant coach Matt Parish is back from Origin duties to talk about tonight's clash with the Green Machine in Canberra.

Matt says the mood is good amongst the boys, which is a positive sign.

"Our preparation's been good, we had a great session in the conditions yesterday, which was good, and the boys are quietly confident," he said.

"The Raiders have got a very big pack with Shillington and Tilse up front, and Papalii back from Origin, so they've got a big team."

Despite their size, Matt is confident the Eels can get the victory.

"I don't think they have the team to go around us, they're going to try and go through us. So if we can get our defence right, and can press up a bit, I think we can do our job tonight."

"From our point of view with them being big, if we can get some quick play-the-balls, that's an area that we can exploit, through the ruck as well."

"We played pretty well last week but didn't get the points, so everyone needs to bring their A-grade game and hopefully we can get the two points."
