The Pirtek Parramatta Eels Holden Cup side, under the watch of Coach Andrew Webster, are in preparation for battle against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Friday night at ANZ Stadium.
The Bulldogs are currently sitting 5th on the Holden Cup ladder, having previously defeated the Melbourne Storm in Round 18 and locking in their 10th win of the season. The Bulldogs final score against the Storm, 26-22, has only left the Eels more determined to leave ANZ Stadium victorious.
The last time the two teams met in Round 2 of the 2013 season, also at ANZ Stadium, the Bulldogs proved to be a challenge to the Eels, winning 32-24.
Parramatta is ranked 13th in the competition and last weeks loss to the Canberra Raiders has only teased the boys hunger for a win. However with the Bulldogs are fresh from a bye in Round 19, the Eels are preparing for a memorable rivalry round game.
Takai Moeakiola will captain the team as they plan to show the Blue and Gold Army they are not prepared to finish the competition low on the Holden Cup ladder. The Eels will be looking to take advantage of injured Bulldogs Danny Fualalo, Lelani Latu and Hermen Essesse.
Kick-off is at 5:20pm at ANZ Stadium.
