The Pirtek Parramatta Eels showed strong defence despite their defeat to the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles. Darcy Lussick tells us this strength was all about playing with the right attitude.

I was fairly happy with my performance. I didnt get to train all week, I did my back this morning but I pulled up alright and just got through it.

Weve done a fair few weeks in a row now where weve all turned up with a good attitude, put in 100% but we just cant win games at the moment.

Obviously its frustrating but what everyone needs to know is that were trying our hardest here. Were sticking together and were hoping for a win before the end of the year.

Mitch Allgood also says there was good effort despite a few mishaps.

It was a disappointing loss and another really hard one to take.

Were playing good football for a few minutes and then an individual miss or error will let us down.

We have a good crowd, good turn out tonight and all the boys were really fired up. The effort was definitely there but some execution and some individual mishaps let us down.

[Manly] are a strong team. Every team we come across is. Were making no excuses. Weve got to be better than what we were tonight.
