Pirtek Parramatta Eels utility player Joseph Paulo says he's looking forward to having Jarryd Hayne back with the side when they take on the Wests Tigers at Parramatta Stadium this Friday night.
"Yeah excited - I just heard with the announcement, but it's always good to have Haynsey back," he said.
"He's a great leader of the team and we look forward to playing with him on the weekend."
The Eels take on an understrength Tigers outfit, with skipper Robbie Farah out injured, but Joseph insists they're not going to be taking them lightly.
"We'll just focus this week as we always do, one game at a time, and if Robbie or Benji doesn't play we'll prepeare the same way as if they were playing, and hopefully we can come up with the right result on Friday."
In front of hundreds of fans at Cabramatta Sports Ground for out open training session, Joseph says it's great to see the turnout despite a disappointing season.
"Late in the season it's important to give back to the locals, Cabramatta has ben a big part of Parramatta and there's a great turnout already, we're just in the warm-up but there are a few here," he said.
"It's been one of those seasons where it's been tough for us and tough for the fans, but it's great to come out for the kids and hopefully they enjoy today."
