Pirtek Parramatta Eels lock Darcy Lussick says it was great to reward the fans with a victory last Friday night, who have stuck solid with the blue and gold all season.

"The after-match function, there were a fair few people there- it's good to see them enjoying themselves after a win and they deserve it," he said.

"They've stuck solid for almost two years where they haven't had the best results and they were enjoying themselves and so were we."

Darcy says they're not getting too carried away, especially with the Brisbane Broncos their task at hand.

"It's always good to play at Suncorp, there's a great atmosphere, and the Broncos have to win the rest of their games to make the finals, so they'll be desperate," he said.

"They're the hardest games, when you play a team that's desperate and has everything to play for so they'll be doing everything they can to win, but that said we will be doing it too."

Despite it not being one of the prettiest games, Lussick says the side's never-say-die approach was one to be applauded.

"It wasn't one of our better games, but our effort [was good] and we hung in there and toughed it out and were fortunate to get the win."

"Obviously against the Broncos I think we're going to have to play better than we did, but we know what to expect form the Broncos - a good forward pack and great back line and on Friday night is when they love playing, so we know we've got a big test."
