We caught up with Ben Roberts and Jake Mullaney in the sheds after our 22-12 loss to the Brisbane Broncos - where both were disappointed with the way the game turned out.

"We gave ourselves a few opportunities in the first half and obviously didn't capitalise, which cost us the game," Roberts said.

"It's those little one per-centers that have been letting us down the last few weeks, and we're pretty disappointed tonight."

Roberts says despite him finishing his time with the Eels this season, he's still enjoying playing with the side.

"It's different playing in the centres, it's been awhile since I've played there, but I'm making the most about where I'm playing," he said.

"It's about doing the job that Sticky wants, and if I can come off and say I've done that, I'm happy."

Fullback Jake Mullaney says the effort from the boys was there, just not the completions.

"We've let ourselves down the last couple of months. We talk about it a lot, getting our execution right, that last pass. But I think it let us down again tonight," he said.

"I thought the Broncos defended really well, they were sliding on us well, and we tried to go around them but that didn't work either, so I think they defended well."

Despite Jarryd Hayne limping off with a knee injury, Mullaney is confident he won't be sidelined for too long.

"It's looking like he's alright, he's got a bit of energy in the sheds so I think it's not too bad," he said.
