The Content Security logo will feature on the back of the Eels shorts next year, which is one of our prime uniform sponsorship spaces.
Pirtek Parramatta Eels Interim CEO Matt Phelan says the addition of Content Security to the Eels Family, shows great confidence in the clubs brand, reach and influence on the Australian sporting landscape.
We are ecstatic to welcome Louis, Phil and the Content Security team on board as our 2014 back of shorts sponsor, Phelan said.
Next season is shaping as an exciting one on a number of fronts, and welcoming a new partner like Content Security really does highlight the belief there is in our club both internally and externally.
Content Security's Managing Director Louis Abdilla says it was an opportunity that was too big to pass up.
"Content Security specialises in IT security, and we've been around since 2000 and do a a lot of work in the Parramatta area," he said.
"Business is doing well, we're trying to get our name out there, and I think [the Eels] will be a good thing for us going forward."
Abdilla and his fellow Director Phil Wurth are also long-time Parramatta Eels supporters, who always planned on starting their own business together.
"We've known each other over twenty years, we're old school buddies, and we wanted to have a business together when we were in school," Wurth said.
"Looking back, we never knew we'd be able to sponsor a football club like the Eels, but it's a great feeling to be able to sponsor the club you've been a fan of all your life," Abdilla added.
"We're hoping for big things next year, I think the Eels are working to get a good club going, and they're a good bunch of guys, and we hope next year is better for them."
Wurth cites the Parramatta region as a key part of Content Security's growth, with many businesses choosing to operate in Western Sydney.
"We're IT security specialists, so we do a lot of security auditing, compliance, services work and products work and support," he said.
"We're looking forward to what's ahead!"
Abdilla says signing up as a shorts sponsor shows loyal Eels Members and fans that those investing in the club also bleed Blue and Gold.
"When I was quite young, I lived in Greystanes and behind my house in the cul-de-sac, Brett Kenny used to live," he said.
"I remember on Grand Final day there were about 50 people outside and he came out with his stubbie shorts and waved and then drove off to the game - which is a great memory."
We warmly welcome Content Security into the Parramatta Eels fold, and look forward to our exciting times ahead.
